Delhi High Court has given Medha Patkar's lawyer permission to come to it with a new petition. The Delhi High Court will hear Medha Patkar's new petition on Wednesday. The Saket court has directed Medha Patkar to be arrested against her will as she wilfully disobeyed its order to present a probation bond and a Rs 1-lakh fine.
Medha Patkar had moved against the NWB order of the lower court in the Delhi High Court. Medha Patkar has been arrested by the Delhi Police on behalf of a defamation case filed by a Saket court. Judge Vishal Singh, who is hearing the case, is not available today, so he will be brought before the court.
The court ruled that the intent of the conviction is evident that she is willfully disobeying the court's order. She has been evading facing the court and also evading accepting the terms of the sentence that have been imposed on her. There is no order for suspension of sentence made by this court on April 8.
The court said it had no other option but to summon them to court by way of a coercive order. The court directed the issuance of a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Medha Patkar by the office of the Commissioner of Police, Delhi Police, on the next date. File the report on the NBW and follow-up action taken on May 3.
The court mentioned the pending revision petition in the Delhi High Court and said that there is no merit in Patkar's stay petition. There is no such direction in the April 22 order of the Delhi High Court that convict Medha Patkar should not comply with the April 8 order of conviction. He said the present application was frivolous, mischievous and made only to mislead the court and the court rejected it. Medha Patkar and V.K. The two have been locked in a court struggle since 2000, when Medha Patkar lodged a complaint against V.K. Singh for running an advertisement against him and the Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA). Saxena was a case filed against.
